HYDE 1.0 (1997)
- Regional breakdown only. Period covered CE 1890 – CE 1990.
HYDE 2.0 (2001)
- Spatial resolution 30 arc min (~2500 km2 at equator). Period covered CE 1700 – CE 2000. Population, cropland and pasture only.
HYDE 3.0 (2006)
- Spatial resolution 5 arc min (~85 km2 at equator). Period covered CE 1700 – CE 2000. Population, cropland and pasture only.
HYDE 3.1 (2011)
- Spatial resolution 5 arc min (~85 km2 at equator). Period covered 10 000 BCE – CE 2005. Population, cropland and pasture only.
HYDE 3.2 (2017)
- Spatial resolution 5 arc min (~85 km2 at equator). Period covered 10 000 BCE – CE 2020. Incl. irrigated areas, rice, intensive pasture, extensive rangelands.
HYDE 3.3 (2023)
- Spatial resolution 5 arc min (~85 km2 at equator). Period covered 10 000 BCE – CE 2023. Includes radiocarbon archaeological data (onset of agriculture) for Eurasia & ArchaeoGlobe estimates for the rest of the world.
